This course is an introductory writing course that approaches literature
through a comparative study of literary characters in different eras,
cultural traditions and literary genres. This course is open to all
undergraduates and fulfills COAS, School of Business and some School of
Education composition requirements. This course is taken in conjunction
with W143. Course requirements: 4 papers, a mid-term and a final.
