4:00p-5:15p TR (30) 3 cr

This is a basic course in the methods and assumptions we use when we look
at literary and cultural texts.  Focused around 5 literary works, the
course will raise questions about authorship, reading, interpretation, the
value of historical context, and the blind spots of critical processes.
Course requirements include a willingness to question, take chances, and
push the limits.
