This course will cover American architecture, painting,
sculpture, graphic art, and photography from the 17th century to
the era of the Armory Show of 1913.  Important areas of study
include Colonial portraits, Georgian architecture, American
history paintings; Roman, Greek, Gothic revival and eclecticism
in architecture; Renaissance.  The goal of this course is to give
a broad introduction to American art history and its major
issues.
