Introduction to ethnomusicology and the cross-cultural study of music and
culture.  Explores music, performance, and ideas from different parts of
the world.  Analyzes the role music plays in human life, including a
variety of social, political, and personal contexts.  Music training is
not required.

Fulfills a COAS Arts and Humanities, Tradition and Ideas distribution
requirement.
