In this course we will analyze the poetic development of Italian Modernism,
focusing also upon the origin of the modern lyrical current in Italy in the
19th century, as well as on its relationship with French Symbolism. We will
study authors such as Leopardi, Montale, Campana, Rebora, and Ungaretti.
Classes will be in Italian. Requisites: one research paper, one short paper
in the form of a book review, oral presentation.
