Prerequisite: Junior standing or consent of instructor.
This course does not assume the student has any special expertise or
background, although a general science background is helpful. G315 is a
survey course concerned with the rational management of natural resources
such as energy, wildlife, forests, and soils. It is presented in a
lecture/discussion format. There is a moderate amount of required reading.
Exams emphasize lecture material. Course requirements include three exams
consisting mostly of multiple-choice questions. G315 fulfills the SHSI
distribution requirement.
