concurrent
registration in P203.
CLASS MEETING:
One 50 minute period three times per week
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to teaching methods in physical education including goals,
objectives,
and lesson plans; peer teaching; self evaluation of teaching; teaching and
learning
styles; skill analysis; and assessment.

GRADING:
Student evaluations are based on competency in the knowledge, use, and
evaluation of effective teaching practices. Those competencies will be
demonstrated via knowledge tests (40%), lesson plans and teaching (30%),
daily
participation (10%), and portfolio development (20%).
