Vertical Caving

This course meets Nov. 12-13.  Precourse meetings are scheduled for Nov. 3
and 10.  Course meets at Area Pit Caves, Indiana.

Description: Focus of course will include belay techniques, climbing
techniques, climbing safety, anchor systems, rope work, and vertical rescue.

Required Book List: Handouts and printed materials provided by IU Outdoor
Adventures.

Summary of Assignments: 1.) Three-page paper of their experience, 2.) Rope
work and voice command test, and 3.) 20-question written test.

Additional Information: This course is limited to 8 students.  An additional
fee is required (includes transportation, gear and food).
