Coastal Kayaking

This course meets Sept. 24-26.  Precourse meetings are scheduled for Sept.
14 and 21.  Course meets at Manistee, MI.

Description: American Canoe Association Coastal Kayaking course which
includes basic paddling skills, water safety, camping skills, and
navigation.

Required Book List: Handouts of ACA printed material are provided.
Summary of Assignments: 1.) Journal of daily experiences, 2.) 3-page paper
of the experiences and acquired skills, 3.) ACA certification checklist of
boating skills, and 4.) 20-question exam.

Additional Information: This course is limited to 10 students.  An
additional fee is required (includes transportation, gear and food).
