We will begin by studying the writing system and proper pronunciation. We will then concentrate on learning
the basic grammatical structures of the language and developing a working vocabulary of two-to-three
hundred words. Written and oral drills, graded readings and short written compositions, translation exercises
and simple conversations will all play their role in gaining a thorough command of the fundamental elements
of the language.
