Introduction to probability and statistics; elementary probability theory,
conditional probability, independence, random variable, discreet and
continuous probability distributions, measures of central tendency and
dispersion. Concepts of statistical inference and decision: estimation
and hypothesis testing. Statistical decision theory. Special topics
include regression and correlation, analysis of variance, nonparametric
methods.
