This course presents research findings about the nature of
social relations and the cultural bases of individual
experience. Readings are drawn from a text: J.A. Wiggins, B.B.
Wiggins, and J. Vander Zanden, Social Psychology (New York:
McGraw-Hill, 1994, 5th edition). Lectures give particular
consideration to Indiana research concerning self, affect,
