S650 is the second course in Sociology's two semester
graduate sequence in applied statistics. The first
course in this sequence, S554, deals with models in
which the dependent variable is continuous. Such models
include simple regression, multiple regression,
seemingly unrelated regressions, and systems of
simultaneous equations. S650 deals with models in which
the dependent variable is not continuous, but is rather
a censored, nominal, ordinal or count variable. Such
models include tobit, probit, logit, ordered logit and
probit, and Poisson regression.
