The class objective is to show the student how an understanding of historic theatrical conventions can help with contemporary theatre productions. To increase drawing, painting, and spatial problem solving skills. Scene Design II concentrates on work in line, color, and composition using historical theatrical scenic conventions as the basis for contemporary design solutions. Advanced projects in technical drawing, rendering of light, perspective and design problem solving with an emphasis on period style and presentational forms.
