The purpose of this course is to acquaint you with the geography of Western Europe. The course is divided into background material and regional material. The background material provides the physical, historical, and cultural background to present-day Europe and a brief discussion of pan-European issues, while the regional portion provides an examination of Europe in a country-by-country fashion.
