Preference will be given to freshmen and sophomores only.

Course description: Evolution, natural selection, speciation,
macroevolution, early history of life, organismal function emphasizing
diversity: morphology, physiology, behavior, ecology.  What is science?

Required text: Campbell, "Biology", fifth edition.

Weekly assignments: Read one chapter

Exams/papers: Two midterm exams and a final exam.
