Course format: Four-hour laboratory time/integral discussions.

Requirements:  P: Biol M310 concurrently.

Course description: A conventional laboratory of exercises, demonstrations
and discussions.  The goal is to achieve proficiency in the principles and
techniques necessary for the manipulation of microorganisms under aseptic
conditions.

Required text: Barnett, "Microbiology Laboratory Exercises."

Weekly assignments: Read lab exercises; answer lab questions.

Exams/papers: Two evening exams and lab reports.
