Undergraduates only, 4 credits; P: grade of C or better in J201 or
equivalent proficiency

The goal of this course is for the students to continue to improve
communicative skill in Japanese and to become more well-rounded in their
overall skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing).  This course
will introduce kanji at as a somewhat faster pace than first semester, will
continue to reinforce hiragana and katakana, and there will be as a
stronger emphasis on reading and writing.

Requirements include lecture attendance, homework assignments, vocabulary
quizzes, kanji quizzes, quizzes at the end of each lesson, as a midterm
exam, and as a final exam.
