This course focuses on the translation of texts from French to English
(version for native speakers of English) and English to French (Thème
for native speakers of English).  Texts are generally taken from recent works
of literature, critical studies, biographies and magazines or newspaper
articles.  One session per week is devoted to translation correction of these
texts, and one session to translations from the course text by Valentine
Rodgers Apprende à traduire.  The course is conducted in French
and English.  There is one exam based on the development of language skills.
