COURSE PREREQUISITES:
Admission to the Athletic Training Major in the Department of Kinesiology

CLASS MEETING:
Meets one 50 minute period two times per week

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to align and define the importance of the
administration role in athletic training.  The course concentrates on daily
management issues in the clinic, high school, and collegiate environments.
A
sample of topics addressed are ethics, professional association issues,
budgeting, facility design, leadership, drug test, legal issues, inventory
control, and personnel management.

Students are required to carry out individual and group projects including:
1) Policy development, 2) Resume development, 3) Designing a small sport
medicine facility, and 4) Development of a Zero based budget.

Exams:
Final Grade Determination will be based on 3 exams (25% each), Resum
development (5%), and chapter worksheets (20%).
