CLASS MEETING:
All sections meet one 50 minute period two times a week for the entire
semester.
All sections of above class graded on S/F basis only.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Instruction in the fundamental techniques of ballroom dance. The dances
covered will be Waltz,
Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba, Tango, and Fox Trot. No previous dancing experience
is required.
ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Students are allowed a maximum of three (3) unexcused absences. Upon a
fourth absence, the
student has three (3) options:
1. receive a grade of F;
2. officially withdraw from the course;
3. follow an appeal procedure through the instructor and/or the Elective
Program Coordinator.
GRADING PROCEDURE:
E109 Ballroom and Social Dance is graded on a satisfactory/fail (S/F) basis.
Meeting the
attendance requirement and participating in class will meet the requirements
for a grade of S.
