COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Population dynamics, vital statistics, global disease patterns and analysis of variations among nations and cultures with respect to health problems and health care service.

PURPOSE OF COURSE:
It is the purpose of this course to sensitize students to world health problems and what worldwide efforts are being made to achieve optimal health for all. It is also the purpose of this course to expose students to non-western or non-dominant cultures and to examine such influences as worldwide politics and economics on the health status of people and communities.

COURSE EVALUATION:
Required:
1. 3 Exams 150 points
2. Reaction to guest speakers 20 points
3. Round Table (group project) 50 points
4. Other activities will be assigned in class 10 points
