CLASS MEETING:
One 50 minute lecture/lab three times per week

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
An introduction to the principles of injury prevention and injury care.
Lecture and
demonstration of emergency measures to treat, for example, fractures,
sprains,
dislocations, and spinal injuries.  Skill training in bandaging, strapping,
splinting techniques.

TEXTBOOK:
Concepts of Athletic Training, 2nd Edition, Pfeiffer & Mangus

EXAMS:
Four announced exams, three exams during the semester and a comprehensive
final exam.

GRADING:
Section exams (20%), Final exam (30%), Lab Attendance (10%)
