Description: The content is designed for students to develop a holistic and
comprehensive understanding of the significance of leisure to the individual
and society. Students will study the relationship between leisure and other
disciplines such as psychology, sociology, health, economics, political
science and education.
Goals: Develop an understanding of the psychological, sociological and
physiological aspects of leisure; an understanding of the significance of
leisure in society; a personal professional philosophy; and an understanding
of leisure throughout the life cycle.

Summary of Assignments: Group project, position papers on current issues,
learning journal, philosophy paper, exams.
