A study of literary forms and techniques used in journalism.  WeUll
discuss formal considerations such as voice and structure, reporting
methods, and ethical issues.  Some consideration also will be given to the
history of the forms in journalism, and to the cultural contexts in which
writers work.  Students can expect to supplement reading with analyses of
literary journalistsU work and the development of experimental pieces of
their own.
