Emphasizes mathematical thinking, problem solving, and the development of
adult-level perspectives about the nature of the mathematics content taught
in elementary school. Topics include number/numeration, whole number
operations, real numbers (particularly integers and rationals), topics in
number theory, measurement, and informal geometry. Open only to education
majors.
