Near Eastern Languages & Cultures | Intermediate Persian II
P650 | 3179 | Staff
This course will build on the skills acquired in the previous three semesters of studying Persian and apply
them to increasingly complex texts and situations. We will continue to move beyond the world of prepared
classroom texts and turn to selections from newspapers, short stories and classical works, as they appear
in modern standard, Iranian colloquial and classical Persian, and read texts that reflect each of these styles.
Compositions and classroom discussions will be based on these texts.
Prerequisites: P200/P600 or permission of the instructor.
