	The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with some of
the broad themes in the study of international relations. It will provide
students with an overview of the core concepts, issues, and processes of
this field. The major topics to be covered are the following: theoretical
approaches to international relations, the major participants in
international transactions, the causes of conflictual and cooperative
international transactions, the international political economy, and
contemporary and future problems of the international system.
