The course covers topics in social perception (how people form
Impressions of others), social influence (how people influence the
behavior of others) and social relations (attraction, helping and
aggression). Diverse theoretical approaches to these quest ions will be
examined and the experimental evidence supporting them will be discussed.
The course will emphasize the empirical approach to the study of the
principles of human behavior.   Text: Sharon S. Brehm, Saul M. Kassin,
Steven Fein, Social Psychol ogy (fourth edition).   Grades: There will be
probably 4 exams, which will be a mixture of multiple choice and short
answers. Extra credit points may be earned by written reports on approved
articles.
