Scene Design I

10:10a-11:00a MWF 3 cr. hrs.

The course objective is to introduce the student to the skills, responsibilities and attitudes required by scenic designers, and to indicate the scenic designer's role in the production process. To offer first-hand skills building experience through practical projects and assignments. The class is an introduction to the process of scenic design, scene designer's responsibilities, scene problem solving and exploration of visual materials and forms. Lessons in literary research, technical drawing, use of perspective grids, and scenic rendering.
