C250/0958 (3cr.) Classical Mythology meets Tuesday and Thursday from
1:00P-2:15P in PY (Psychology) Room 100. This section carries Culture
Studies credit.

This course introduces students to Classical Mythology, with an
emphasis on Greek Mythology. Through the semester students will
become familiar with the basic elements of Classical Mythology - the
major figures and the stories associated with them - and learn how to
assess the many layers of meaning of myths. While this course focuses
on written versions of ancient myths, it will also draw on visual
evidence to explore the place of myth in the ancient imagination.
