Intensive Study Literary Latin (3cr)

Section 0990 for graduate only meets from 11:15A-12:30P  Monday and
Wednesday in BH 317

Section 0991 for undergrads only, must obtain on-line authorization
from the department.

This course is a continuation of L300 and assumes basic knowledge of
Latin forms and syntax.  Here the emphasis is on developing reading
ability; we will continue and review Wheelock as necessary, begin with
the heavily annotated selections in the back of that book, and then
work our way through increasingly demanding texts.

Grades will be based on frequent quizzes and assignments emphasizing
vocabulary and syntax that will accumulate to equal one-fifth the
final mark.  There will be four tests, each also counting one-fifth
the final grade.
