Examines approaches for improving adolescent/adult literacy when
reading the specialized materials of various content areas. Special
focus upon the literacy process, dealing with a wide range of student
literay abilities, identifying and modifying materials to support
literacy development, and using reading, writing, and thinking
activities in instruction. Taught each semester, both on campus and on
the internet.
