REQUIRES PERMISSION OF THE INSTRUCTOR. OBTAIN AUTHORIZATION FROM BH442.

This is an advanced fiction workshop where students will be expected to produce three short stories or three novel chapters. Elements of the craft of fiction-writing will be discussed throughout the semester: plot, character development, setting, point-of-view, dialogue, and the revision/editing process. There will be some outside reading of selected short stories.

Students interested in this class should submit to my mailbox in BH 402 one polished short story, along with a list of their previous creative writing classes. Accepted students will be notified by email. After you have been approved, contact the Undergraduate Secretary in BH442 for an on-line authorization.
