Introduction to contemporary Italian conversation, grammar, reading,
and elementary writing. Credit given for only one of the following:
M100, M110, M115, or M491.

All students with previous course work in Italian must take a
placement examination. Contact the testing bureau, 855-1595,
for testing dates. Students must avoid final exam conflicts. See exam
schedule in the Schedule of Classes.
