Above section meets with HIST G382
This course meets jointly with G382, and graduate students must meet
all the requirements of undergraduates in that course (see separate
description). In addition, graduate students do supplementary Reserve
readings, which are discussed at an arranged time once every two
weeks. They take the same examinations as in G382 but address
additional questions related to the supplementary readings. Each
graduate student also is required to write a bibliographical review
essay (15-20 pp.) on a subject area of individual interest. Grades
are based ¼ respectively on the three essay examinations and the
bibliographical essay, with discretion exercised in view of class
participation. Required texts are the same as for G382.
