Topic:  20th Century African American History

Above section meets with AMST G620

This course is an examination of recent African-American history, with
particular emphasis placed on issues of culture, class, gender, and
leadership.  Students will be responsible for reading and discussing
secondary studies on topics such as emancipation, the Great Migration,
and the Civil Rights Movement.  Additionally, written assignments will
include
three major book reviews.
