The textbook used is Ann Pale Kreyl by professor Albert Valdman.

students creolization.
Second semester Haitian Creole finishes the last 5 chapters of APK and
reads 3 important Creole documents. 1) Ti Koze Sou Istwa Peyi Dayiti,
a good introduction to the central events of Haitis incredible
history. 2) Tonton Liben is one of the first Creole peasant novels
written in the mid-20th century. 3) Mt Larouze is a recent graphic
novel that depicts a Haitian peasants search for water. These texts
are must-reads and furnish pertinent points of discussion for
group-work. Songs accentuate learning. Grammar is used by students as
they enact real-life Haitian settings. To accomplish this excerpts
from Creole journalism are studied and presented, a module is reserved
for water purification, AIDS prevention, and terms and ideas from
building, nursing and much more encourage students to find
ways to participate in Haitian civilization. There are 2 exams and a
final exam. There is 1 essay of 3-5 pages and 1 essay-presentation.
Students from all disciplines are encouraged to enroll in Haitian
