A one credit class which will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from
March 26 through April 25, 4:00-5:15 PM.  This course analyzes recent
labor-management conflicts as a vehicle to discuss the changing US
economy and its impact on workers and trade unions, evolving corporate
and labor strategies, the future of labor-management cooperation, and
the public's attitude toward unions.  This course examines recent
strikes at Pittston, Firestone/Bridgestone, A.E. Staley, the Detroit
newspapers, and United Parcel Service.
