Medical Sciences | Basic Human Physiology (5 cr.)
P215 | ALL | Schlegel

A systemic approach to the study of human body function. The course
assumes a working knowledge of the structural components of the body
and appropriate terminology. Presentation begins with the
communication systems of the body, progressing to coordinated motion
and on to defense, transport, delivery, and balance of nutrients,
water and electroylyes that comprise essential metabolic activity and
maintain homeostasis. The two-hour weekly laboratory emphasizes
application of material presented during the lecture portion and is a
required part of this course.
