S700 | 3720 | Donna Eder

This course is designed as a research seminar in the topical areas of
race, gender, and class. We will discuss various issues around
analyzing and writing a publishable article. Topics to be covered
include how to analyze and present data, how to write up literature
review, methods, and discussion sections, how to identify appropriate
journals, how to deal with responses from journals, and ethical issues
related to publishing research. Students will be expected to write a
draft of a potentially publishable paper. They will also be expected
to give two presentations on this paper during the course of the
seminar. Minimal reading will be required.
