Gender Studies | Knowledge and Sex
G701 | 2419 | Professor Judith Allen

In Knowledge and Sex, feminist critiques of various disciplines and
fields are compared and examined. The course asks such questions as:
What contribution have discourses of sex differences made to the
formation of knowledge? How have feminist scholars criticized
knowledge produced in the humanities, social and behavioral
sciences, or professional areas? The course explores the differences
in interpretations offered by such critics and assesses their impact
upon areas of knowledge during the twentieth century.
