S331  The Hispanic World I  (3 credits)
Prerequisite: S310 or S311 or equivalent

The aim of this class will be to study the culture of Spanish
America through the reading, discussion and study of representative texts
taken primarily from the 20th century.  A full length play, a variety of
prose narratives, some essays, and poetry will serve us for this purpose.
Frequent handouts will also be provided.

Mini-essays, frequent quizzes and a final exam will
be the correlative framework for the proposed studies involved.

Credit given for only two of the following:
331, S332 or S333.
