A portion of the above section reserved for majors
Above section meets with HPSC X705

The specific readings for this course will be determined with respect
for the enrolled students' research interests. The course will begin
with historiographic consideration of disease and history -- topics
that have been of interest to historians; syntheses that scientists
and biomedical writers prefer; popular uses of disease history by
journalists and filmmakers. We will then review a selection of state-
of-the-art historical articles, to review theoretical, analytical,
and methodological approaches to the subject. The course will be
limited to infectious diseases, however.
