Jewish Studies | Introduction to Elementary Hebrew II

Second semester of elementary Hebrew.  The course is conducted mainly
in Hebrew and concentrates on the acquisition of modern Israeli Hebrew
on an elementary level.  All language skills–reading, writing,
speaking, grammar, vocabulary, composition, etc.– are equally
emphasized.

Weekly assignments will include one lesson from Lessons in Modern
Hebrew I, plus one quiz per week (excluding exam weeks) based on the
contents of the lesson learned.

Grading is based on results of quizzes, mid-terms, and final exam,
plus daily participation in the class and handling of class
conversation sessions.

Prerequisite: H100

Required text:	E. Amir-Coffin, Lessons in Modern Hebrew I (Michigan).

Fulfills: Jewish Studies Language & Literature course and core Jewish
Studies major requirement.
