Liberal Arts And Management Program | Senior Seminar: Smoking Guns
L416 | 2881 | Dworkin, Terry

This course will explore risk allocation in our society with a
particular focus on harmful products. After examining the history of
risk allocation and the law of products liability, we will take a
closer look at specific products such as alcohol, asbestos, and cars
which have been a particular focus of concern in this century.
Lessons learned from these studies will be applied to the current
issues surrounding tobacco, and guns. Experts from a variety of
disciplines will contribute to our understanding of how our society
might best deal with these last two products.
