L290 | 6785 | Lynn Duggan & Gracia Clark

This class will meet Jan. 29-Feb. 28. The vast majority of the
world's people are poor and live in low-income nations. This one-
credit course will focus on the work of women in households,
agriculture, the informal sector, and the formal labor force in poor
countries and how they are affected by multilateral trade,
development, and finance institutions. We will also briefly cover
examples of women's organizing efforts in response to forces that
improvish them.
