This course will prepare the student to communicate in modern Israeli
Hebrew. Although the oral skills of communication will be emphasized,
the course will further one's abilities in proper reading and
writing. Classroom assignments will be supplemented by selections
from contemporary Hebrew poetry and prose.

Grading will be based on periodic quizzes, mid-term and final exams,
homework, attendance, and participation.

Prerequisite: H100-H200 or equivalent.

Required text: E. Amir_Coffin, Lessons in Modern Hebrew II (Michigan).

Fulfills: Jewish Studies Language & Literature course; successful
completion of this course completes COAS foreign language requirement.
