Psychology | Adv Dynamical Systems Theory
P657 | 3595 | J. Townsend

For people with the background of Q580, P657 will offer an opportunity
to delve more deeply into dynamic sysems and their application in
cognitive science. The papers and/or books studied will be selected
by the participants although we may start by perusing selected
chapters in Port & Van Gelder's "Mind as Motion" (MIT Press), 1995,
which is recommended for the course. Possible topics are: cognitive
neurodynamics, developmental dynamics, perception, perception-action
systems, human information processing, pattern recognition,
connectionist models(e.g., Grossberg's ART theory).
