LITERATURES OF THE DIASPORA: AFRICA

A study of selected works from the oral and written literatures of
the continent, from ancient Egyptian and Aethiopian literatures to
the present. Included will be such authors as Chinua Achebe, Wole
Soyinka, Ngugi wa Thiong'o, Leopold Senghor, Okot p'Bitek,
Vusamazulu Mutwa, and Mariama Ba.
